This position requires the completion of both the application form and a questionnaire.
The purpose of this job is to assist in planning, developing and evaluating programs in Leisure Services for the Athens-Clarke County community. Oversees daily program activities, prepares materials and assures programs are maintained and staffed at an appropriate level.
Qualified applicants should possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities:
· Ability to plan, develop, and evaluate natural resources programs;
· Ability to perform administrative and reception duties;
· Ability to prepare, maintain and process various reports, purchase orders, payroll, inventory, standard operating procedures, program registration and related forms and work orders;
· Ability to instruct classes and/or conduct programs where necessary;
· Ability to assist with live animal care;
· Ability to serve as a community resource person in programming and special events; and an
· Ability to effectively communicate and interact with subordinates, management, employees, members of the general public and all other groups involved in the activities of the Athens-Clarke County Government.
High school diploma or equivalent with three years of recreational service experience required; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Supervisory experience is preferred. Must possess a valid driver's license. See job description for details.
SCHEDULED HOURS: Tuesday – Saturday, 8:30am – 5:30pm with occasional evening and Sunday work.
