The purpose of this job is to perform a variety of duties related to ground servicing of aircraft and providing customer service to crews and passengers, and performing additional tasks as assigned.
Qualified applicants should possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
¨ Knowledge of various aircraft types and servicing, i.e. fuel and oil;
¨ Operational knowledge of all aircraft ground equipment;
¨ Knowledge of policies, procedures, and activities of the Aviation Department pertaining to Line Service Technician duties;
¨ Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and other staff members;
¨ Knowledge of airport rules and procedures, Federal Aviation Administration communication regulations, basic mathematics and procedures and methods required; and an
¨ Ability to use portable fire extinguishing equipment, ground-to-air communication equipment and flight line equipment.
High School diploma or equivalent with one year of airport flight line experience preferred; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position. This is a safety-sensitive position; therefore, it will be included in random drug testing as referred to in the Athens-Clarke County Drug and Alcohol Ordinance.
WORK SCHEDULE: Varies; Monday – Friday (3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.)
Saturday – Sunday (9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. OR 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.)
